Prose Probe

About Prose Probe

Prose Probe does one thing: it measures seven statistical patterns in a text you paste, shows each one as a meter, and says how pronounced they are. The patterns are frequent in text produced by language models. They also occur in human writing, especially formal or academic writing, so the site never says "written by AI": it says which patterns are present, and the guides explain what that is worth.

What we do not claim

We publish no accuracy figure for the detector, because we have not measured one against a labelled corpus, and we do not believe anyone should act on a figure they cannot check. The thresholds that turn a measurement into a flag are working values, described on the detector page. The guides quote the accuracy figures that other tools and studies have published, with the source and the date.

We do not sell a rewriting service to make a text pass a detector, and we do not publish advice on how to do so.

Where your text goes

Nowhere. The analysis runs in your browser; the text is not sent to our server and we do not store it. Close the tab and it is gone.

What the site earns from

The site shows advertising on its guide pages. It does not sell your details and it has no account to create.

Who runs it

Prose Probe is operated by BGD GROUP, entrepreneur individuel. Write to hello@proseprobe.com to report an error in a guide, a source that has moved, or a signal that misfires on a kind of text.
